MIDDLE EAST FASHION DAYS coming soon - Fashion News UAE

The 3rd edition of the MIDDLE EAST FASHION DAYS will take place in October 18-20, 2011 at Dubai Madinat Jumeirah. After two previous experiences and a now very accurate knowledge of the local market, the organizing team is introducing a few new elements to meet regional customs and the expectations of Middle Eastern buyers. All this to increase the attendance, who’s already enjoyed a 61 % increase in 2010.

Catwalk Shows At The Very Heart Of The Trade Show
An vital communications means for fashion’s influential actors of the Middle East, the catwalk shows are becoming a key element of the MIDDLE EAST FASHION DAYS.

As many as five daily shows will take place, i.e. about 15 catwalk shows altogether. For exhibitors to take advantage of the generated visitor flow, the catwalk will be moving to the heart of the trade show, right next to the exhibitors.

VIP Buyers
So as to ensure the presence of EMEA leading international buyers, the trade show team will be inviting (all expenses paid) 20 major business actors. At the same time, the network of international agents hired in 2010 by WSN DEVELOPPEMENT will carry on promoting the trade show among the countries of the Gulf region (Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, UAE, Iran) and bordering countries (Lebanon, Israel, Jordan, Syria, India, Pakistan, Egypt).

New Opening Hours
To be in line with local traditions and event organization strategies in that part of the world, the organizing team of the MIDDLE EAST FASHION DAYS have decided to move back the trade show opening hours from 4 pm to 11 pm. This new schedule should give buyers and exhibitors the opportunity to plan other professional meetings in the morning. It’ll also attract an increased number of visitors to the trade show.

WGSN Conferences
For the second year in a row, conferences will be organized and hosted by leading trend-forecasting agency WGSN. Everyday, they will deal with the future of fashion and retail in the Middle East, the opportunity for exhibitors and buyers to learn more about this market.

A Very Eclectic Offer
For its 2011 edition, the MIDDLE EAST FASHION DAYS is expecting 120 ready-to-wear and accessory exhibitors, among whom 15 local designers. For the second year in a row, the trade show is renewing its partnership with PURE LONDON who will bring along British exhibitors who wish to develop their Middle Eastern customer base.
